At chronic or small hemoptysis arising acute as a rule emergency care isn’t required. During pulmonary hemorrhage and copious hemoptysis the pulmonary circulation should be unloaded: one needs to give the patient half-sitting position with legs down, braids on the lower extremities, warmth in the lower abdomen and legs. Reassure the patient. Provide with soothing cough agents, cold food and drink. Put cold on the chest (with caution). Drinking solution of aminocaproic acid. Call an ambulance.
