At acute urinary retention (ischuria) emergency assistance is required - emptying the bladder by catheterization, a rubber catheter. Pre-enter, antispasmodic drugs (papaverine hydrochloride, platifillina subcutaneously). A metal catheter is not recommended for this purpose as you can damage the urethra. After emptying the bladder is washed with an antiseptic solution (0.02% solution Furaccilinum). If self- urination after catheterization is not restored, the patient is to be hospitalized to clarify and eliminate the cause of urinary retention.
